Cogito ergo scribo

I feel sad, disgusted, and even despair over what our country has become.

Nothing can be said and done anymore without others feeling offended, not even something that's just poking fun at the issue and not the specific group.

How many more lives gotta be lost all over the world for this whole fiasco? How many more newspaper gotta be punished for this whole madness?

I don't know since when lives have been reduced to dirt or even lower than dirt, so long as the lives that are lost don't belong to the same group.

I thought tolerance, be it racial tolerance or religious tolerance, should be mutual. I respect your differences, and you respect mine.

I guess i was wrong.

In this country, tolerance is a one-way traffic. We gotta be understanding, sensitive, respectful and tolerant towards anything that concerns a certain group. But when it comes to anything else in the reversed direction, it immediately becomes an insult and disrespect that calls for punishment and sanction.

I'm not a racist, or at least i do my best not to be one. Yet, seeing things happening everyday and experiencing the events myself simply gave me blow after blow against my wish to be unbiased.

Yes, i know not everyone is like that. Yes, i know there are good ones out there too. Yes, i know we should not generalize the whole group just because of some bad apples. The problem is just that it seems like the bad apples are becoming quite a handful nowadays.

It's time like this that the love for my country is seriously under trial. It's time like this that i ask myself if there's really a reason to stay than to run away.
