The thing about free conferences/seminars is that the organizers often talk more about their products than the technology. It's actually a sales talk in disguise. I don't really mind though. We may not buy their products in the end, but it's always good to keep myself abreast of the available applications in the market.
I just hope that i don't run into any ex-colleagues tomorrow. I'm so tired of the question, "how's the situation at your company now?" What i can tell is already in the news, and what's not in the news i may not have the liberty to divulge. So please, enough of the questioning already!
