Not that i do not care about my country, but this is not the first time that Malaysia makes a mockery of democracy, if it even exists in this country.
Too much have already been spoken and written about this event. No matter what the people say or do, the history has already been made.
As much as i abhor BN for bringing our country to the state it is in today, i do not sympathize with PR for coming to this situation. Seriously, regardless of what PR supporters say, the party is not really standing on moral high ground itself. I just feel for the people in Perak, for whichever side they choose would just be equally bad -- in fact, the same could probably be said about all Malaysians.
The whole drama has exposed how fragile the opposition party is and how inexperience they are in playing the political game when it comes to scheming and plotting. At the same time, it shows how shrewd our future PM is and further affirms his position in his party.
Do not be mistaken that i am praising him on his manoeuver or personality, for having a leader like this is dangerous. If he is a real patriot and put the interest of his country and people above himself or his party, then the country will benefit much from a strong leadership. Yet, if he is a power-craving, ruthless, autocratic leader who does things out of self-interest, then the country will only get worse than it is already now.
Well, from the various stories we got from the grapevine, i think we more or less could guess which kind of leader he will be.
While the world is battling the economic crisis, and even economically strong country like SG is already bracing itself for a bad storm ahead, the politicians in our country are only concerned about politicking.
Once again, i can't help but ask, is there any more hope for my mother land?
I'm afraid the already dim light of hope has just become dimmer.
